I had a tough time getting motivated this morning. I just did not want to get out of bed. The lazy start threw my morning routine off and I found myself wondering when I would get my 10 minutes of mobilization in since I missed my usual morning yoga session.
Being thrown off my routine usually keeps me off-sync for the rest of the day. It’s a very unsettling feeling to have. What I really wanted was a nice cup of coffee (with milk and Splenda) to wake me up … but seeing as that is not an option, I grudgingly put on my sneakers, grabbed my Everlast bag, and headed to the gym for a good boxing session. Hitting something always makes me feel better. After the hour, I cooled down with a 1 km walk on the treadmill and then spent 15 minutes doing some deep stretches mixed with some basic yoga poses – workout + mobilization in for the day!
All meals went well – I pretty much ate the same things I did yesterday. Cooking in bulk definitely helps when you’ve got a busy schedule or when laziness gets the better of you! I did start to crave something sweet around 5 p.m. when I was having a cup of tea. I resisted.
Day 2 Summary

- Mobilization — deep stretching + yoga (15 minutes)
- Workout — boxing (1 hour) + 1 km walk
- Nutrition — (4 dates for breakfast, vegetable medley leftovers for lunch + some salad, cup of peppermint tea for a snack, grilled fish w/some steamed veggies for dinner, 4 strawberries after dinner)
